Community Artists Niagara’s 8th Annual Green Art Show at Lakeshore Catholic High School featuring the work of students artists from Port Colborne High School and Lakeshore Catholic High School.

PEOPLE’S Green Art CHOICE
Awarded to the artwork receiving the most popular ballots cast by guests throughout the Green Art exhibition.
Winner: Austin Coverdale

BEST RECYCLED
Awarded to the artwork making the best use of recycled materials. The materials may or may not be used for new purpose. The material properties of the recycled media are not or very little altered.
Winners: Bailey Pelletier and Phaelen Collins

BEST UPCYCLED
Awarded to the artwork making best use of upcycled media. The materials are moved “up” the processing cycle to be reused for the same or a new purpose.
Winners: Phaelen Collins and Curtis Rowe

BEST FOUND OBJECT
Awarded to the artwork making best use of a found materials or object. The found materials or object are used on their own or with other materials retaining its basic form but altering its original function.

BEST RESPONSE TO A GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE ex. amount of discarded plastics in oceans & lakes

BEST RESPONSE TO TOPICAL ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE ex. is Earth’s climate changing or not re: temperature of the Arctic Ocean
Winners: Luke Ferreira and Brooklyn Kettle- Bergstrand

BEST RESPONSE TO LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE ex. With only 10% of Niagara’s original wetlands intact should they be drained, filled and sold to developers?
